Bacchus 2009
Background
Bacchus is a Riesling x Sylvaner
x Mueller-Thurgau cross that produces lively, aromatic wines that are
naturally low in alcohol. The variety excels in cool climates and
since 1986 it has thrived on Suncrest Vineyard's upper bench, located at
over 500m in elevation. Trends have come and gone, but these old
vines still have their spot on that bench.
Tasting Notes
Fresh,
floral, lively
citrus and peach aromas. Crisp, off-dry and very flavourful on the
palate.
Food Pairing
Delicious on its
own or serve with
appetizers, grilled vegetables or other lighter dishes.
