Background
A blend of 66%
Pinot Noir with 30% Merlot and 4% Zweigelt added
for structure and color. We like using Pinot Noir as
a base for this blend because it offers ripe fruit flavour and
good texture on the mid-palate. Whereas Pinot Noir tends
to be more modest in color and tannin, Merlot is decidedly more robust, offering greater structure and adding
nuances of spice and pepper.
Tasting Notes
Cherry, plum and raspberry aromas
with vanilla and lightly spicy undertones. Medium bodied
and smooth on the palate with sweet fruit flavours
lingering on the finish.
