Pinot Gris 2010
Background
The grapes
for this wine are grown in the Suncrest Vineyard in Okanagan Centre and
Wendell Orchards in Carr's Landing. Both locations are situated on
westerly slopes near the deepest part of Lake Okanagan. The lake
moderates the often extreme temperatures experienced in the Okanagan.
Pinot Gris is well suited to this area, producing grapes with subtle
flavours and retaining plenty of natural acidity. We age the wine
on the lees for 4 months, producing an elegant, well-balanced Pinot
Gris.
Tasting
Notes
Ripe apple, pear, peach and delicate floral aromas. Complex, full-bodied
with refreshing acidity.
Pairing
Suggestions
Serve with salmon, fondue or vegetable lasagne.
