Pinot Noir
2009
Background
The 2009
Pinot Noir is made from grapes grown in Carr's Landing and West
Kelowna. This vintage was characterized by its warmer than
average growing season, which ripened the grapes up to three
weeks early. The resulting wine shows less of the red
berry fruit aromas we get in cooler vintages but instead offers
a rich, silky palate with dark berry fruits and earthy
components.
Tasting
Notes
Black cherry and raspberry aromas with earthy, cedar and leather
undertones. A medium bodied wine with a silky texture and smooth
tannins.
Food
Pairing
Recommended with chicken, duck, wild mushroom sauces or Gruyere
cheese.
