Solstice Pinot Noir 2014

Background

The 2014 Solstice Pinot Noir is made from 5 clones of Pinot Noir grown in West Kelowna, Carr's Landing and Okanagan Centre. The unique attributes of each clone and each vineyard contribute to the complexity of the blend. Together they showcase the typical varietal character Pinot Noir expresses in this region. The wine is aged in French oak puncheons for 12 months to add structure and finesse. Solstice Pinot Noir reflects the essence of our surroundings and our commitment to quality.

Tasting Notes

A medium-bodied Pinot Noir showing cherry, raspberry, hints of spice, rose petal and subtle, well-integrated oak components. On the palate it is silky, yet it has the structure and flavor to be paired with rich dishes such as duck confit or an earthy mushroom risotto.
