Archive Pinot Noir 2022

CA$40.10

Release Date: October 1, 2025

What it is
Our premium Pinot Noir blended from the best grapes of the vintage and aged in the finest oak.

Where it was grown
Appellation: BCVQA Okanagan Valley - Lake Country
Vineyards: Ritchie, Wendell, Arrowleaf Estate and Postill

When it was grown
The story of the 2022 growing season started with a blast of arctic air in late December 2021. The cold weather damaged some buds on the vines, reducing their potential yields. The spring was cool and damp, which delayed budbreak and suggested it was going to be a short growing season. Summer was hot and dry but the highlight of the growing season was the fall, which felt more like an extension of summer. It was a phenomenal stretch of warm and dry weather that lasted through most of October. The extended season coupled with low yields produced grapes of excellent quality.

How it was made
The grapes from each vineyard were harvested at peak ripeness. They were destemmed, partially crushed and fermented with a low dose of yeast that mingled with the wild yeast naturally present on the grapes. After primary fermentation, the wine was moved to premium French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and 12 months of aging.

How it tastes
An elegant example of Pinot Noir showing dark cherry, violets, savoury notes of tobacco and subtle, well-integrated oak components. On the palate it is medium bodied with a long, complex finish. Decant before serving to reveal its full aromatic potential.  🌱 Vegan Wine
