Bacchus 2025
Release Date: April 1, 2026
What it is
Bacchus is a German grape variety (Silvaner/Riesling X Müller-Thurgau cross) that produces lively, aromatic wines that are naturally low in alcohol.
Where it was grown
Panucci Vineyard, East Kelowna, Okanagan Valley
Wendell Vineyard, Lake Country, Okanagan Valley
Arrowleaf Estate, Lake Country, Okanagan Valley
When it was grown
After several years of crop losses, the 2025 vintage marked a return to bountiful yields in the Okanagan Valley. The growing season was one of the warmest on record and our vineyards bounced back to produce beautifully healthy grapes. Despite the recent setbacks, it was further proof that this region is a truly special place to grow grapes and make wine. 2025 is poised to be the vintage of the decade, if not beyond.
How it was made
The hand-picked grape bunches were not destemmed and crushed but pressed whole to preserve acidity and purity of fruit. The juice was fermented with yeasts that highlight the variety’s unique aromas. After a short aging period in stainless steel tanks, the wine was bottled in early spring for maximum freshness.
How it tastes
Tropical, floral and herbaceous. Look for aromas of passionfruit, elderflower, thyme and lemongrass. Dry on the palate with lingering flavours of herbs, citrus and grapefruit.
