An exceptionally long, warm autumn allowed the grapes at Ritchie Vineyard in Lake Country to reach beautiful ripeness and concentration. Harvested in late October, the golden clusters were crushed before pressing to extract additional flavour and aromatics from the skins. A slow fermentation preserved natural residual sugar, creating a nearly dry Riesling with rich notes of pineapple, apricot, honey and lemon. Full of flavour, with refreshing acidity, distinctive minerality and a long, lingering finish, this beautifully structured vintage has excellent potential for further bottle aging.
