Zweigelt is a relatively rare find in BC, with Arrowleaf among just a handful of wineries producing this Austrian variety as a single-varietal wine. Grown at Ritchie Farm in Lake Country, the 2022 vintage benefited from an exceptionally warm and extended fall growing season, producing richly concentrated fruit. Aged for 12 months in Eastern European oak, this medium to full-bodied wine opens with ripe dark cherries and juicy plums, layered with cracked black pepper and hints of tobacco. Velvety, well-integrated tannins carry the generous dark fruit through to a long, richly textured finish.
